Judy Annear is a writer living in Sydney, Australia. She is adjunct at the University of NSW, Art & Design Faculty. Her fields of research include literary feminisms, and modern and contemporary art practice underpinned by a focus on periods of major technological change. Specialisations include Japanese photography and contemporary art, American and European modern and contemporary photography. Major curatorial projects include Alfred Stieglitz: the Lake George years 2010 and the 2015 exhibition and book The photograph and Australia.
