Judy Annear is a writer living in Australia on Wurundjeri Country, sovereignty has never been ceded. She is Honorary (Fellow) at the School of Culture and Communication, University of Melbourne.

Her fields of research include literary feminisms, and modern and contemporary art practice. Specialisations include Japanese modern and contemporary art, Australian, American and European modern and contemporary art. A small book of experimental texts THE Ls was published 2019, followed by now then 2021, and soundings (Stolon Press) 2022.
